British Invasion! (into fashion)

Union jack ToyWatch £135

Recently the Union Jack has become an excellent template for unique pieces of fashion. The ‘Jacks’ status has further been reinforced with the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of London Fashion Week in September (and no, not with thongs or boxers). Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel have embraced the Union Jack for some of their unique pieces.

The latest credit to ‘Jack’ is three must have pieces from the Italian brand ToyWatch. Three unique watches made to celebrate ToyWatch’s flagship opening of their store in Selfridges this week. All three are limited edition and exclusive to Selfridges.

These pieces embrace the Union Jack colours, but also come in three styles (yes, red, blue or white strap watches), while all are still unmistakably Toywatchs’. The cost; a mere £135.The only thing we don’t like is having to choose one!

IT DOES'NT STOP THERE! River Island produced some pieces the Queen would be proud of.

Firstly the Union Jack Holdall for £34.99 which is a cotton bag.

Also from River Island is this leather version (wow) for £119.

For £445 net-a-porter.com sell the Alexander McQueen Union Jack Pashmina (shown) under their appropriately named range - save the McQueen.
River Island also have their own version for £12.99 instore.

Watch this space as we will continue to report on the Union Jack fashion! We love it...
