Alexander McQueen - Now Online

www..com
Rebellious designer Alexander McQueen has recently launched their new website allowing for their prestigious collection to be purchased direct. Originally items could only be purchased from their boutiques or from net-a-porter.com (which mostly caters for ladieswear- only helpful for men that way inclined!). http://www.alexandermcqueen.com/ is open 24/7 of course. To honour the launch, we’ve selected some of our favourite pieces from their fresh site;-

BERU f1systems who usually undertake projects for motorsport, military, aerospace and nautical applications have decided to have a go at; a bicycle. However, they have constructed an artpiece fused wth ground breaking technology.

Each 'vehicle' is custom-built to the exact dimensions of the buyer (and so no-one else can borrow it!). The full performance data of the rider can also be recorded with this bicycle.
Although our favourite detail is the 'integrated LED lights'!

British Invasion! (into fashion)

Union jack ToyWatch £135

Recently the Union Jack has become an excellent template for unique pieces of fashion. The ‘Jacks’ status has further been reinforced with the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of London Fashion Week in September (and no, not with thongs or boxers). Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel have embraced the Union Jack for some of their unique pieces.

The latest credit to ‘Jack’ is three must have pieces from the Italian brand ToyWatch. Three unique watches made to celebrate ToyWatch’s flagship opening of their store in Selfridges this week. All three are limited edition and exclusive to Selfridges.

These pieces embrace the Union Jack colours, but also come in three styles (yes, red, blue or white strap watches), while all are still unmistakably Toywatchs’. The cost; a mere £135.The only thing we don’t like is having to choose one!

IT DOES'NT STOP THERE! River Island produced some pieces the Queen would be proud of.

Firstly the Union Jack Holdall for £34.99 which is a cotton bag.

Also from River Island is this leather version (wow) for £119.

For £445 net-a-porter.com sell the Alexander McQueen Union Jack Pashmina (shown) under their appropriately named range - save the McQueen.
River Island also have their own version for £12.99 instore.

Watch this space as we will continue to report on the Union Jack fashion! We love it...

The luxury Bentley flagship offers a palette of 114 paint colours, 21 carpet colours (more than some domestic carpet suppliers), nine wood veneers and 24 interior leather hides, all of which will be tanned using a decades-old process to ensure this future classic never loses its scent. Each car will take nine weeks to build.
Base price has been set at £220,000, although with the option list, we doubt any will be sold at this price!

RETRO gadgets: Cassette USB hub and phone camera lens

4 Port USB hub from www.boystuff.co.uk/

Here’s a pair of gadgets not necessarily unique for their function, but more for their style (but we like them!)

These days it’s all about retro. Retro cars, t-shirts, bags even toiletries! In the theme of retro the guys at www.boysstuff.co.uk have kindly provided a 4 port USB port in the form of the iconic cassette tape. Our favourite part is the rotating ribbon wheels. Available for £11.95 from http://www.boysstuff.co.uk/

Another user friendly gadget is to aid the the poor camera lens from your mobile phone. Some phone cameras have digital zoom but this only reduces the quality of the image as it stretches the image. This gadget is a simple-to-fit retro looking zoom that attaches to your mobile phone camera and provides 8x Optical zoom. Who knows what you can snap with this in hand.

Yours for £39.95 from http://www.boysstuff.co.uk/.
